At approximately 15.5 inches in diameter, this drum produces a warm, resonant sound with the earthy depth and natural variation characteristic of genuine animal skin. Each strike creates a full-bodied tone that works beautifully for sound healing, meditation, breathwork, grounding practices, ceremony, group sessions and intuitive rhythm work.

Because genuine goatskin naturally responds to its environment, the tone and tension may shift somewhat with changes in temperature and humidity. This is a normal characteristic of natural-skin drums and part of what gives them their organic sound and feel.

If you find that this happens to your drum (dull sound), simple leave it in the sun for 30-60 minutes, hold is over a hot stove, or as the natives do – hold it over a fire until the skin re-tightens.

Each drum is individually hand-painted, making every piece a functional instrument as well as a one-of-a-kind work of art.
